Stag Ambassadors shine in Guyana Jaguars warm up game
Stag Cricket’s Guyanese Stag Ambassadors had good outings in their warm up games for the Guyana Jaguars. The warm matches are in preparation for next month’s Regional Super50 in Antigua.
Akshaya Persaud scored a fluent 51 not out clearing the ropes 3 times. Persaud’s boundary count was two 4s and 3s.
In the final game Leon Johnson’s XI beat Vishaul Singh’s XI by two wickets. Gudakesh Motie scoring 31 run in putting on fifty runs with, West Indies all rounder, Romario Shepherd for the last wicket. Nial Smith bowled with fire and pace taking 2 wickets. Smith was on hat trick at one stage. Smith a bounced out Trevon Griffith and then sent West Indies’ Shimron Hetmeyer’s off stump flying.
Stag Cricket’s Guyanese Ambassadors have been selected in the Guyana Jaguars Squad for February’s Regional Super50 tournament in Antigua. Stag Cricket wish Akshaya, Gudakesh and Nial the very best of luck for the upcoming tournament.
